In Colombia there are thousands of children that live on the street. They have no family and no home, no education and no hope for a better future. To many they are called disposables.
New Hope for Children was established as a UK Registered Charity to support the work of Children’s Vision Int. Inc, Bogota, Colombia. New Hope is all about prevention. Our main objective is to support the work in Bogota and help save children who are very much on the border of and sometimes already living on the street. We want to help give a loving and caring family, breaking the cycles of abuse and neglect, also an education to break the cycle of poverty. Through the very valued help of generous donors, we are able to provide a New Hope for Children in Colombia. Watch the website for details of Richard Sanderson's next visit to BCF to update us on his work in Bogota for more information: visit the website or contact (01200) 443 980 [email protected]
Samaritan's Purse - Operation Christmas Child
Shoebox Gifts
As a Fellowship we are part of the 'Shoebox Appeal', filling and sending as many as 150 shoeboxes each Christmas. Shoe boxes are covered with Christmas paper and filled with fun toys, school supplies, puzzles, toothbrushes, combs, socks, hair accessories etc. These are collected and sent to children worldwide who may be victims of war, poverty, famine, disease and natural disasters.
Each box costs a minimum of £5 to send. Our coffee morning donations help towards the shipping costs for these boxes.
Find out more about Operation Christmas Child by visiting www.samaritans-purse.org.uk or join us on Thursday morning for coffee and chat in the Chapel between 10am and noon. We can always tell you more about the work this society does.
